You always have the right to cancel an item before it has been delivered to you. The seller cannot then require you to complete the purchase and pay for the item. However, he has the right to claim compensation from you for costs he has incurred in connection with the order, for example shipping costs.
The six-month rule
In order for the seller to be responsible for the defect on the product, the defect must be original, that is, it already existed when you bought the product or when it was delivered to you. Errors that occur within six months are always considered to be original faults, which the seller must correct at no cost to you.
